The system actually stops the leaf spring from "Wrapping",
controlling the movement of the pinion and its angle in relationship
to the u-joints. After the axle is stabilized by the Traction Control
System, other adjustments can be made; re aligning the middle bearing
support for improved u-joint timing.
This shackle allows the vehicle to change heights, loading and unloading,
without straining the chassis or other moving parts by locking the
axle too tight. |
